Dear All,

I have a small question, and I hope I can get some help from this forum.
For some reason, if I look securities with weekly chart, the volume appears in negative area. It is only happened for some securities that I trade, not all of them. Any idea what should I do to fix this problem ? BTW, I am still using WLD3.
Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Ipik

The data adapter you're using in WLD3 is not able to chew integer values beyond the upper limit (2,147,483,647). You're unlikely to see it on daily because there is hardly any trading volume in a stock/index to happen on a single day. On weekly and above, trading volume aggregates thereby causing the issue.

Which data adapter are you using?

Web downloads in WLD4 Build 4 do not have this overflow problem along with supported providers like QuoteTracker, IQFeed etc.

P.S. Please appropriately target the forum when posting; this one's for WL .NET (5).

I am using Metastock Files as my Data Source Adapter since I can't used Web Download anymore, and I don't know how to modify yahoo data automatically from internet connection. Please advice me if that is not appropriate way.

Upgrading to WLD4 could have saved from many bugs and offered many fixes - including this one. However, the free Web Downloads are not lost for you - thanks to generous person Dave Aronow who made available for free this helpful workaround:

You need to upgrade to MetaStock Static Adapter Build 4.

Be sure to select the right adapter after upgrading as the text above suggests, ther will be 2 MS adapters.
