If I, as a VAT registered company within the EU, buy a license from you, SWREG issues the invoice as an Ireland VAT registered company.

In that situation they should not be adding VAT to the invoice, but they are.

It would be illegal for me to try and reclaim the VAT from the tax authorities in my own country, so effectively I am being charged a 25% premium on the price.

Do you think there is a way we can solve this?

Hi,

I think there is a way - or maybe two.

There's a field in the order form to claim VAT exemption. My impression is that if you enter your VAT ID then SWREG would reduce the total price.
