Hello,

I am new to Wealth Lab and interested in auto trading through IB and have a question. I use a separate program to track my trades which lets me import my trades provided they are in a CSV format. What I would like to do is be able to somehow export/save my executed orders for the day to a CSV file so I can import them is that possible? What is the best way to do it?

Thanks.

Hi,

In Wealth-Lab, trade Alerts and/or Orders can be copied to clipboard manually. Alerts can also be exported programmatically. And for power users it's possible to read (import) the orders from the XML file where they're stored (there are code samples on the forum). If your program is able to import custom XML files then fine, otherwise it shouldn't be difficult to come up with a piece of code to convert that XML file into a CSV format supported by your program.

The good news is that there is a turnkey solution for getting data from Interactive Brokers and automated order placement via IB created by a 3rd party. You might want to check out his forum replies and give it a try signing up for a free 10-day trial. Of course you'll need at least to start a Wealth-Lab Developer free 30-day trial before you're able to evaluate the addon.

At the risk of account lockout please do not advertise the program you're using to track your trades. Since you've just registered, has not even started the free trial and this is your first post ever, this looks pretty much like advertising. The URL / program name have been removed from your message.
