The Home page got a little ahead of itself this evening, but after a few more checks we'll have Developer 5.6 ready to roll out tomorrow!

Okay, we're all straightened out now. You can download v5.6 from the Products page.

5.6 brings PosSizers and a Monte Carlo Visualizer (formerly Monte Carlo-Lab), the latter of which is available in the "Extra Performaance Visualizers" pack along with Analysis Series. If you already installed that one, just updated from the Extension Manager; otherwise go to Extensions > Get Extensions in the menu above.

Any chance Fidelity will document the PosSizers API so we can use it? :(

We're told the API docs are going to be at fidelity.com now, but they're not there yet.

A quick point of clarification, are these the same API docs that people have been waiting for over a year, or are there going to be examples specifically showing how to use the PosSizers and other new enhancements placed on the web-site?

Congratulations on the release. I think with this release all of the critical V4 functionality is now part of V5. Definitely looking forward to learning how to use the PosSizers.

Thank you.

1 - Yes, the set of WL5 API docs.
2 - The PosSizer API doc should include the source code of an actual PosSizer.

Any idea why they chose to obfuscate the PosSizers dll? I understand the core functionality but that seems like a candidate to be open source since you want people to see examples and build them out into more complex PosSizers.

Is there any way to create feature requests similar to the old website (other than support tickets)? For example I'd like to see the ability to use an enum as a strategy parameter (and have the enum values displayed in the parameter chooser instead of just numbers).

Thanks for the release -- PosSizers are huge once we have the docs for the API.

It's part of the build process. I guess no one thought about not obfuscating as an aid to customers.

Call Fidelity. While I'm still doing the Rankings at the old site as a convenience for everyone who uses it, that's the only thing we're keeiping up to date or looking at.

I've called Fidelity twice asking how to get the PosSizers documentation. It would be great if others called as well.

I always get an Unhandled Exception (input string was not in a correct format) when I use the Monte Carlo simulation. Does anybody have the same issue?

First of all, you may safely start taking a free unrestricted 30-day trial of Wealth-Lab Developer 5. These functions are already implemented starting from Wealth-Lab v5.1 and 5.0 (respectively). Furthermore, several extension libraries are built around these functions.
