When I use the yearly time scale for my long
DOW-data series, there is no time sale in the chart for the year.
Quarterly and monthly are shown.

For daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly Candlesticks,
the Date is shown on X-axis.
For yearly data, there is no date shown on X-axis.

1. You minimized the Volume pane. Click the triangle next to the Volume label to see the series.
2. If it's zero at the mouse pointer, I have to say it's because Metastock has zero volume. The chart shows significant volume (although minimized) to the right of your red arrow.
