On WL6, I can change the strategy parameters while seeing the results realtime on Chart, Performance, Equity Curve and Drawdown window because the strategy parameters are shown at the left bottom corner of the main window.

This is no longer the case with WL7 and you have to go Strategy Settings and change the parameters while Backtest Results and Chart tab are hidden.

Could you consider making the strategy parameters accessible from the main window like WL6?

I'm afraid this is not in the cards for WL7, perhaps once we reach a WL8 stage we can consider this from the beginning of a new design effort.

I do miss that WL6 feature. In WL6, I often step through the parameters to see how NetProfit and ProfitPerBar change with the parameter steps. Yes, I know; that's what the optimizer is for.

To me, optimizer parameters are for finding something that computer is good at.
On the other hand, strategy parameters are for seeing and feeling that computer is not so good at.

I Agree with keeping the strategy parameters accessible from the main window.
The power and simplicity of being able to turn on/off indicators, panes, and change parameter values on the fly while interacting with the chart side by side is something that makes this software really powerful. Please bring this feature into the WL8 platform.

It was declined at once but there are 6 likes, and Glitch said "perhaps" for WL8.
Should I create a new thread for requesting to WL8 unless there is a way to reactivate the declined feature request?

Window design isn't changing in Wealth-Lab 8, but let's see if Glitch has an appetite to take this on after Wealth-Lab 8 is released.

Along with using sliders in a more interactive way, I think we need a way to verify and change parameters after dragging a strategy to a chart window. One idea is to add a "P" button to the chart toolbar. When selected, a slider panel flies out.

Unfortunately this did not make it into WL8 but it’s still an active request for future consideration.

Popping up a dialog to change the parameters from the chart window might be a good alternative to having it on the side. Mainly I like to see the chart changes when I modify the parameters.
