I’m currently working on this request and multi column sorting with header arrows is on the way! I’m not sure if it will be done in time for Build 15 but if not, then Build 16.

Thanks for implementing in build 15!

After a multi-column sort, is there a way (e.g. key combination) to restore everything back to original state? Currently the only way I have been able to figure out (at least for the Data Manager) is close & reopen the DM.

No, but the last column clicked will be the primary sort.

For example, if you sort by EntryDate in the Positions list, what difference does it make after that if you don't care about the order of other columns? Maybe you could explain the necessity, I could be missing something!

So far I've only used it with the Data Manager. It can take a significant time to load a very large dataset, so if after a multi-sort one wishes to return everything back to base state it would save time vs closing/reopening the DM and then clicking/loading the dataset again.

It would be nice to have but not a biggie.

what is the “base state”?

if it’s the DataSets just sort by symbol to get back to the “base state”.

By base/original state I meant the state when you freshly click a dataset after opening DM... no column is visibly selected.

I'd just wondered if there was key combo to quickly reset everything to base state. But no worries.

No, just sort by Symbol to get to the base state.

On the Backtest Results > Positions tab I would like to sort Positions by Exit Date then Symbol. I want to see a list of open positions sorted by symbol alphabetically.

First, I click on the Exit Date column twice to get the list of all open positions at the top. Then, I click on Symbol to get an alpha sorted list of open positions. But clicking on the Symbol does not preserve the Exit Date (Open) positions at the top, and instead appears to sort only by Symbol alpha.

You should click columns in the opposite order (LIFO).
