I have limited the maximum number of open positions to 5. Nevertheless, 7 fills have taken place, which are now also real positions in the account. How can this be?

Maybe there were some exits along the way?

The system was set up again on an empty account when no exits only entrances

But even if there had been exits, I would expect to have a maximum of 5 positons in the account. Or have I misunderstood something?

I just can't find a solution to effectively limit my account usage on limit entries. At the moment the account is in margin. This is not a big deal. But if there is a big movement in the market, it can lead to disaster.

Is this a daily system?

There's little we can do if you submit many limit signals prior to market open, and then the broker fills some of them right at the open. By the time that happens, it's too late for the trading threshold to have any effect. If you're concerned, you'll need to limit the number of signals you submit.

You can also use the Quotes tool at market open and observe how many limits "trigger" and then selectively place them manually.

Yes, it is a daily system running in quote with default setting 95%, which is restarted every day.
The overpurchased shares were not bought at the opening, but during the day at different times. Therefore we can exclude a runtime problem (several signals at the same time). In my opinion, the limit of the maximum held positions was not taken into account, although selected.

Is there a chance you excluded the account from Trading Thresholds in the Accounts tool?
