Hi,

I have some queries about lifetime warranty condition:

"
Use your WealthLab version indefinately
All the same benefits as the Premium subscription
Includes two years of free maintenance updates
"

Currently if I purchase WL9 for lifetime, does that mean few years down the line if WL10 is out, I cannot upgrade my WL9 to WL10 as use wL10 for a lifetime again?

Your WL Lifetime license would apply to WL10. It’s not tied specifically to WL9.

So my understanding is as long as I keep buying the the Maintenance Extension every year. What I got is exactly the same as purchase the Premium Annual Plan every year.

It is just two different payment method, one is to pay a fixed amount each year.

Another is to determine that I will use Wealth Lab for a long time in the future while paying a larger down payment, but I can have a more favorable annual fee afterwards.

Yes, that's essentially correct, but there's one important advantage to the Lifetime License: the maintenance extensions are optional.

With an Annual or Premium subscription, if you stop renewing, your WealthLab license expires. With the Lifetime License, you own the license permanently. It includes the first two years of updates, and after that you can purchase the $149 Maintenance Extension each year if you want to continue receiving the latest updates.

If at some point you decide you don't need the latest updates, you can simply stop buying maintenance and continue using the last version of WealthLab you're entitled to indefinitely. You could also resume maintenance later if you want to get current again.

So you're right that Lifetime involves a larger upfront investment with a much lower ongoing cost, but the bigger advantage is that you're no longer dependent on an active subscription to continue using WealthLab.

A follow-up question to above. I just got renewed for the Annual plan a week ago. If I want to upgrade to Lifetime, would I get a prorated credit for the payment I just made towards the Lifetime purchase and I pay the difference or do I need to wait until next year to switch to Lifetime purchase?

Thanks.

You don't need to wait. If you upgrade to the Lifetime License now, we'll simply extend the included two-year maintenance period by the remaining time on your current Annual subscription. So you won't lose any of the subscription time you just paid for.

Is there a lifetime option for the "non-premium" version? Over the years, I've purchased "lifetime" licenses for various extensions (including the defunct TD Ameritrade one, and later the Schwab extension), and so far don't really need the other extensions. But really love the platform...been using it since the Fidelity days! Keep up the great work.

No there's only one Lifetime License.
