I tried several times to connect WL7 (with the preset data) to IB.
Data TWS are changed (socket clients etc)
tested the ports (with nice assistance of Rene Koch, thanks a lot) (port 7496 is listening)
switched off Virus control and firewalls
Result:
Connect failed
504: not connected
I am completely confused. Please help.

We need to work on the re-connect logic for IB, but if you make sure that TWS is running before you start Wealth-Lab so that the first connection attempt succeeds, there shouldn't be a problem - if configured correctly.
Follow the instructions line by line in Help > Interactive Brokers chapter. If you still have a problem connecting, let us know.
