Some of the Tools/Extensions (like "Strategy Rankings", "Strategy Evolver", "Candlestick Genetic Evolver", "Indicator Profiler", etc) allow to select on which DataSet to run. Is it possible to additionally add a control to select running them on a single symbol? In the meantime, I can obviously create a DataDet containing just that single symbol, but it's much less convenient.

Thank you!

Single symbol mode is coming to Strategy Rankings in B22.

Just installed it and am now testing it.

It's great! Thank you very much for the implementation.
If possible, it would be great to have this feature gradually extended to cover all other Tools/Extensions that currently only allow for a DataSet.

Thank you again!

You're welcome.

"Strategy Evolver", "Candlestick Genetic Evolver", "Indicator Profiler", etc

Let's approach it on a tool by tool basis. You may submit feature request(s) for this(ese) tool(s).

Happy holidays!

I tried to test a single symbol in Strategy Rankings, but the previous DataSet is always loaded, in this case Nasdaq100 (Norgatedata). Single symbol not working.

Hmm, wasn't there a button for apply the settings before when the setting changed?
Am i confused with a different tool?

Did you "Run Backtests"? All the settings are applied when you Run... although when I switch from a DataSet run to "Symbol" or vice-versa, "Need to Load Data" appears.

Anyway, I can't duplicate what you're seeing, so if you can make it happen again, it would be helpful to know the steps.

True, the settings are applied even after changing it and a second run.

I remember now that confirming a change with the ok button was important. That sounds obvious, but it happend to me to change the date range withoud clicking ok. Then the new settings are not applied but shown in the window.

But I also agree with fred9999. Switching from a dataset to a single symbol does not work. At least it loads many symbols from one dataset, even if you want to load a single symbol initially.

Might be related to the issue that I identified here (see Post #7):
https://www.wealth-lab.com/Discussion/Strategy-Rankings-scroll-list-up-down-9280

As far as I understood, Glitch managed to reproduce it and it should be fixed in the next release.

Okay, that's why I don't see it. For Build 32 after changing the symbol, DataSet, data range, etc. just click the "Symbol(s) Loaded" message to reset it for a new run.

Okay, more details.

1. Testing on Dow30 dataset (WL_Data)

2. I switch to a single symbol, click on the "symbols loaded"

3. Testing on a single simbol, but still testing on the same dataset
