Pure Math

The Pure Math extension adds a collection of low-level mathematical, statistical, and signal-processing Indicators to WealthLab. These tools are designed as composable elements, not trading systems, giving advanced users the freedom to construct custom indicators, transformations, and models with full control and transparency.

Unlike traditional technical indicators that embed trading logic, Pure Math focuses on raw transformations of data. Each indicator performs a well-defined mathematical operation and produces deterministic, backtest-safe output suitable for strategy development, research, and indicator composition.

What's Included

The extension includes a growing set of mathematical and statistical Indicators, such as:

  • Transforms & Functions
    Log, Exp, Pow, Sign, Normalize

  • Trigonometry & Geometry
    Sin, Cos, Atan, Tanh, Sigmoid

  • Calculus-Inspired Tools
    Derivative, Acceleration

  • Statistics & Distributions
    Variance, Skewness, Kurtosis, Covariance, Entropy

52 week Normalization of Price
Transform raw price into normalized velocity and acceleration using Pure Math indicators.
Sigmoid and Tanh of ZScore
Apply nonlinear functions like Sigmoid and Tanh to reshape indicator behavior.
Skewness, Kurtosis and Variance
Analyze volatility and distribution shape with rolling statistical measures.
Rolling Entropy (Normalized)
Measure market disorder using Entropy to identify trending vs choppy regimes.
