I would like to know if you are thinking to develop a connector with MSN Central to provide Real time data like you have with Yahoo ?

As you can see at the end of the page http://money.msn.com/stocks/, Real time data is provided for american markets and with a delay for other markets.

Is there a point in having a real time data provider (even with delay removed) without any intraday history backfill? (Neither MSN nor Yahoo provide it.)

On the other hand, you might want to look at the Google provider which offers daily and intraday static data as well as streaming quotes, for free.

Sorry for my late answer. As WLD is not connected to a broker, I would like to use it like that :
- Create Alter from an EOD strategy
- Monitor Alert in Real time in Quotes monitor
- receive email with the appropriate order when Alert is triggered
- Enter manually the order to my french broker

To work like that, I need to have streaming data from MSN. As I'm trading only EOD strategy, It's not necessary for my to have intraday backfill as you can understand.

For me, I don't want from you to remove delayed data. I need to use it. The only difference will be the value of the trigger that I'm going to put to manage delay.

As I'm following several Alerts, I cannot enter manually all of them to my french broker. It's time consuming.

OK I see, your strategy doesn't require the use of intraday history backfill.

MSN, Google and Yahoo basically receive their stock quotes from the same feed. Given that Yahoo supports international symbols (by adding prefixes), is there a particular symbol (or symbols) that you couldn't find in Yahoo streaming data (in WL6) that exist in MSN delayed streaming data (on MSN website)?

The problem with Yahoo is that historical data quality is very bad for international symbol (expecialy for french market).

For this reason, I prefer MSN.

Let's hear the MSN provider developer's opinion, is it feasible or not. I'll let you know.

As I told several times before, the developer has been busy with a top priority project that is nearing completion. At the moment, our manpower won't allow us to consider a MSN streaming provider.

If you're interested in it, please consider developing it or hiring a 3rd party developer. Hope that our open source code for Google and DDE providers in the Wiki will be of great help.

MSN Streaming (EOD) provider, together with revamped MSN Fundamental provider, has been added to MSN Static provider. The extension is available for update via the Extension Manager, or for direct download from our website:

MSN Static, Streaming and Fundamental

(The existing "MSN Fundamental Data for Securities" has been withdrawn. It's highly recommended to uninstall it.)
