Hi,

I am trying WealthLab Pro 6.1.

Long back when I used to do trading I used to use the old WealthLab Pro. I have a software which used to execute following functions in WealthLab through its COM interface:

CODE:
Please log in to see this code.

I checked http://personal.fidelity.com/products/trading/Trading_Platforms_Tools/wlp-under-the-hood.shtml and http://www2.wealth-lab.com/WL5Wiki/MainPage.ashx, but could not find any thing related to this.

Does the new WealthaLab Pro expose some methods through COM or .NET Remoting or something? If not, then do you know if it is possible to do the above?

Thanks for your time!

Hi,

Basically, usage of WLP/D and/or its libraries from external applications isn't supported.

That's a bummer!

I hope the new bosses at Fidelity realize that the original WealthLab was a very close to the perfect software for trading and implement all those cool features in the new WealthLab.

Another bummer is that the new WealthLab does not have enough keyboard shortcuts and basically you are forced to use mouse. Here is the post reminding of good keyboard shortcuts - /Forum/Posts/Request-Improved-keyboard-shortcuts-4095

I am getting disheartened by the state of the new WealthLab - it was supposed to be superior than WealthLab Pro 4.0, but it has yet to implement these basic features which existed for a while on earlier WealthLab.

I never said it's impossible. Of course you're free to experiment. All I mean is: we will not support this way of usage when certain tasks are "outsourced" to Wealth-Lab by 3rd party custom apps for their own benefit. I hope the Fidelity bosses understand my concerns about utilizing Wealth-Lab's libraries in this manner.
