10/17/2023 - former S&P 500 component NCR Corp (removed from the index in 2007) separated into two independent, publicly traded companies, NCR Voyix (VYX) and NCR Atleos (NATLw).
NCR's history became VYX following a 163:100 split. Wealth-Data will continue to support this symbol's full history.
However, to preserve NCR price levels for backtesting while in the S&P 500, we "delisted" the NCR series, renaming the symbol NCR.20231016.S. Consequently, Wealth-Data's S&P 500 will have NCR.20231016.S, not VYX.

During this data exercise, I found that on the day that NCR was removed from the S&P 500 (10-1-2007) a $26.08 dividend had been recorded, which was actually the value of NCR's Teradata spinoff. Because the NCR data series is properly adjusted for the spinoff, the dividend would have been incorrectly recorded as a profit if your backtest happened to own NCR on the ex-dividend date and you had selected to include dividends in the Backtest Preferences.
As of this morning the dividend has been removed and replaced with a Split event. As always, I recommend refreshing Wealth-Data periodically to ensure you get these corrections.
