I created a data set comprising about 500 stocks. Until last week when doing an update of this data set WL8 updated all stocks - also symbols that are nowadays inactive, since they e.g. delisted from the stock exchange.

When doing an update of the data set now, WL8 just updates the active symbols (which are about 20 less than the 500 stocks). Is there a possibility to update all stocks of the data set again (i.e. also the inactive symbols)?

Also strange: On my second laptop it still works that WL8 updates all stocks!

What stocks? Which provider?
No provider that I know of updates delisted stocks because there are no "updates".

Wealth-Data, like Norgate Data, rename delisted stocks. So you can access their data (with those providers) using the delisted symbol names.

As for the stocks, e.g.: TEN (Tenneco) or CCXI (ChemoCentryx Inc).

I am using WealthData and Q-Data. Until last week WealthData or Q-Data also loeaded past data for the stocks above (stating a great number of bars for the past and that the "Last Date" -> Data Manager -> Update Dataset is in the past as well).

Since a few days the past data for these stocks are not shown anymore when doing a data set update.

The problem is that it heavily influences backtest results (survivorship bias), although knowing that these stocks cannot be traded anymore.

I'm getting no data at all for symbols TEN or CCXI in WealthData or QData. I think they're de-listed.

Also, it doesn't look like they were in the S&P 500 so they won't even be in WealthData with renamed symbols.

You might have some cached data from QData for when these were active symbols, but unfortunately QData does not deliver inactive symbols. You might try IQFeed or Norgate.

Restart WealthLab.
There was a hiccup with a resource file that was overwritten with an older version. It was updated a day ago to correct the situation.

TEN was removed from the S&P 500 on 11/04/1999 and stopped trading just last year.
The symbol is TEN.20221116.A

I can't help you with CCXI. Haven't heard of that one.
