Hello, dear WL team,

I installed WL9 with the available extensions for WL9 and performed the migration from WL8. I can start WL9, but when I try to access a Building Block strategy, this error message appears at the bottom of the screen:

"Trade History Manager: Exception Initializing Trade History: The input string 'CASY' was not in a correct format."

The strategy doesn't load.

I also can't access the "Preferences"; nothing is displayed.

WL8 won't start after the migration either. Therefore, I won't be able to trade my strategies tomorrow.

What can I do?

Thank you very much!

We don't understand how the migration could have possibly affected WL8, but to get running again, try renaming the Settings.txt file in the User Data folder:
C:\Users\[you]\AppData\Roaming\WealthLab8\Settings.txt

Rename it to something like SettingsOld.txt, and then try starting WL8. If it works (and if you don't have a backup for Settings.txt), you'll need to go through all your Preferences. If you want, send us the SettingsOld.txt file and maybe it can be repaired.

Thank you so much!

I copied the "settings.txt" file from before the switchover in WL8, and WL8 is working again.

I'll take care of WL9 tomorrow. If there are any further problems, I'll get back to you. Thanks again!
