I am testing Tradier with following simple intraday building block and don't appear to get proper confirmation in order management.
1- BUY market order is actually executed in Tradier, however is pending cancellation in order manager (why?).
2- The trailing stop loss order fails because BUY was not properly recognized by order manager. Tradier does not receive the stop loss order

Can anyone confirm successful building block trades in Tradier using market, limit and stop loss orders.

Thank you

Looks like some work needs to be done there. Building blocks makes no difference - an order is an order.

1. Double click on the errors for information about why.
2. Check the Accounts tool. Did TQQQ show up in your account at WealthLab?
3. What does the Log Viewer, Ctrl+L, have for Tradier?

responses:

1- no error message on cancel pending order
error on stop loss order

2 - Accounts shows no transaction

3 - log
nothing else

It's all part of the same problem then. Something was missed in the response to the buy transaction, so the position wasn't recorded. If WealthLab doesn't know about the positions and you've enabled Portfolio Sync in Trading Preferences, you won't be able to sell the Position.

For now, to clean it up, right click the Buy order and "Kill" it.

Then, if you still hold a position, click "Request Updates from Broker(s)" in the Accounts tool and let's see if the Tradier position appears.

Accounts after update by broker shows the position at Tradier.

looks like the source of the problem is WL not receiving confirmation from Tradier on the opening transaction . everything after is just a consequence

by the way, I can't use actual position in portfolio sync as typically the account will have multiple positions (meta-strategy) for the same symbol. the issue displayed above is a single strategy testing access to Tradier

Update: I was able to place today a new Tradier order from a (daily) meta-strategy without any problem. The order is Active on Tradier and on Order Manager.

This would suggest the reported issue from yesterday (#1 above) may be related to Strategy Monitor (triggering 1min runs). I am using Tradier as broker and TDA for streaming (Tradier's streaming does not respond well). Wondering if TDA's streaming prevents SM from capturing Tradier's transaction confirmation ?

Order status is unrelated to the tool that generated the orders.

But since Tradier doesn't have intraday historical data, how are you initializing the strategy for 1 minute bars? If you're using "Live Positions", there needs to be a history behind it.

in SM. doing so provides historical data as well - signals are correct
