Hi,
I am encountering this issue with WL 6 using .NET Framework 4.8. I am also seeing this issue with my trading piece which is a C# .NET Core application. So I am assuming the issue can also be found with WL 8. Why I am taking up your time here.

Here are the sequence of steps:
1) Evening before market open launch WL 6 in streaming mode
2) Program the task scheduler before hand to wake the PC up at 9AM ET.
Put the PC to sleep.
3) Next morning the PC wakes up at 6AM with screen off
4) The trading and quote app starts working to gather quotes to SQL
5) At 9:31AM ET WL 6 starts running in streaming mode
6) I have the sound turned on for each top of minute data arrives
7) But I do not hear the sound
8) I turn the screen on, I can hear the sound
9) I set the PC to turn screen off in 3 minutes
10) screen goes off and I can still hear the sound

I would like to be able to hear the sound upon wake up with screen off.
I am not really interested in hearing the one minute sound.
I have the trading piece set to make sounds when it accepts a buy signal from WL 6.
(alternately WL 6 can also make this sound)
This way I can wake up and start watching the position.
My exits are programmed but just in case.
Your comments are appreciated.
Thanks!

Your topic title did not indicate the obsolete version number so I added it. But since this is a WL8 discussion forum, please repost on the proper board instead:

I wouldn't assume this given that WL8 is 1) a complete rewrite from scratch 2) based on NET Core.
