IB TWS must stay running, but it will do one of 2 things every day:
1. It will close (automatically)
If you let it do #1, you're out of luck until you (manually) log in again.
2. It will restart (automatically)
You need to make #2 happen in the TWS Configuration (and control when the time that it happens).
I also recommend that you restart WealthLab after the TWS restart to ensure a good reconnect to TWS, but you can take your chances. You can schedule WealthLab restarts using the Task Scheduler. See Help (F1) > Workspaces.

Does wealth lab cut off because i was using a shortcut? Is that possible? I turned on the original application but I don't know if that will solve my problem. I'm due to trade on Monday.
It looks to me like TWS is CLOSING at 23:45. The TWS app is shutting down automatically.

Right on. Restart. That's #2.
I don't know how to do a happy dance. But I am doing just that. Will promise to create a youtube video tomorrow if it works. Trust me, people have darn good videos. But they also must have began with some knowledge. I'm nothing if not persistent.
I'm going to give a fresh perspective on what it's like to be a novice Robinhood buyer with virtually no concept or idea that this existed until a month ago. Ok. You guessed it. IT DID NOT WORK. I did some tweaking and I set the autostart for 8:30 am and it was 828, my code was set to trigger in 4 minutes and I wanted to know what was going on.
I switched the Auto restart time to 8:30 am.
As I eagerly sat nail biting (not really, it was really an emotion of MF, I'm so irritated). And then?
Bam, IB, autostarted -- but.....there was a caveat.......
It opened the screen that asked me for my password and log in -- and again --- I had to run upstairs to get my phone because I knew it would never let me sign in without my freaking phone.
Up the stairs I came and by the time I arrived back here? It was on. Hence the words, "Auto Start".
And it started. NO SIGN IN NECESSARY. I will now go back and set that for 7:30 am. Because I never want to cut things that close again. Screenshots and videos coming .
--- but alas, my dogs? Yes. They are alive in spite of my lively animation while speaking to my computer. They must go out. I'll be back later to compose my thoughts of the whole experience. The reality of being indeed a novice.
