Did you ever think of changing the way of zooming of equity curve. Now you should select a 4 point area. The better option, as for me, is to zoom using two point – datetime points. No matter what is the height of the mouse pointer, you choose only start datetime point and finish datetime point, then autoscaling by Y happens automatically. No need for accurate rectangle drawing to have a not too plane chart.

That's definitely something we can consider for a future improvement.

On second though, I often like to observe a narrow vertical section of the equity curve, ignoring the large block of solid color. So I'm respectfully declining this request.

I will when I get back to the computer. But another factor here is trying to code something beyond what the native capability of the graph component already offers. It just isn’t worth the effort when there are so many more pressing things to do.

To give you an idea, I select an area at the top of the curve. Then use the right mouse drag to move the selection around. Auto scaling would make this kind of operation more cumbersome.

Oh, I see, that really matters. Actually, my main concern is that the area around the chart is not acceptable for unclicking when selecting the area, so I my selecting leads to no result very often. For example if I try to "zoom" flat chart if I my starting capital is too large, the trade size is too small and I have not so many trades - I guess, that's what you were talking about in your declining comment.

Thanks, that's really helpful! Although doing it with a touchpad is a little bit tricky)).

It's not compatible with my lying-on-a-sofa style of researching))
