I'm interested in building intraday strategies in addition to daily strategies. I'm wondering if in addition to paying for the premium annual subscription, if I will also have to pay a broker for an intraday data stream for let's say 5, 10, 15 or 30 minute strategies. Thanks.

Brokers offer free, but limited, intraday histories and streaming data.

IQFeed offers intraday data.

Although IQFeed is not free as topic starter supposedly demands, its data quality and availability is superior to some of the free providers though.

In addition to broker's free data, built-in AlphaVantage provider has intraday data but the free subscription imposes serious limitations.

Plus, DataExtensions has Tiingo and FinancialModelingPrep which are free to use but subject to quotas and throttling:
