So, all of my manual purchases I made through IBKR. But I decided this time to buy through wealth lab. And when I did, everything works and is beautiful. But what I didn't understand was that my "log viewer" had the dummy broker, ibkr and now it had wealth lab. So, I had never seen that before and I deleted it.

But I need it back. How do I get it back?

Every day my connections die when I click tools, then accounts -- I can see both purchases but now there is not a live update for the one I puchased through wealth lab.

What really aggrevating, is my recent purchase is viewable but not up to date. And then I get a market connection loss. How do I get wealthlab back as my broker in the "log viewer"

The Log Viewer is used mostly for error messaging, not for trade status.

I don't know what you're talking about with respect to the 'the log viewer and dummy broker.' It's not clear to me what you need to "get it back".

If you're trading manually, you're using the Order Manager. It has "Signal Blocks" that maintain your trades during a WL session, as long as you don't delete them or select to Remove them automatically (see the checkboxes).

Also, there's the Accounts tool (Ctrl + T). If you have the "eye button" enabled for IB, you'll see the positions that are in that account . They will be up-to-date as long as you're connected with TWS.

Remember, Restart TWS (required by IB) and then WealthLab every day to refresh the connection.

I did that in the end, and it changed things for me. Thanks. Restart when something seems off. I should have known better.
