When adding a new dataset using ascii data provider, I noticed that it was reading hidden data files. Not a big deal (just delete/move those hidden files), but probably good idea to automatically take care of this.
I had to select "Hidden items" under View in Windows Explorer to see these files.

Rename
I see no harm in reading hidden ASCII files. IMHO moving them out of the folder is the way to go.
In the opposite case i.e. if the attribute is set in an error, other users might complain that WL7 is mysteriously unable to read existing ASCII files which are instantly visible for them in Total Commander (or other file managers for power users).
