Don't worry, your downloads will be up & running shortly:

Wealth-Lab Wiki > Errors | Data > scroll down to "Yahoo" > "XML error while updating Yahoo! data"

P.S. Make sure you've enabled hidden file visibility in Folder Options (Windows Control panel) before attempting to get to the folder the KB article directs.

Eugene - Guidance on Wiki didn't totally work - only partially

The two files you mentioned were 183 and 3 bytes, not zero. However, I deleted them anyway and now WL works fine when I download on demand and click on a specific symbol. When I use data manager, I get the following message:

Updating Provider Yahoo! Finance ...
Preparing requests ...
Error: The added or subtracted value results in an un-representable DateTime.
Parameter name: value
Provider update complete for Yahoo! Finance
----------------

Update completed (10.798 sec)
----------------

Also, no files are reinstalled in the directory where I deleted the two.

Help. Thanks.

Have you closed WL before deleting the files?

I think, but am not positive WL was open. I still have files because I renamed them to bak.

I then shut WL and reopened and had above problem.

The BAK files you can safely delete, I could imagine one being 3 bytes in size only if something went wrong like crash.

Let's do the following. Navigate to that ..WealthLabPro\1.0.0.0\Data folder under AppData, close WLP, and then delete the YahooStaticProvider folder altogether.

Eugene - fix you suggested works and Yahoo is downloading all the data again as I sent this message.

Thanks for your support.

Glad to help. One or more of your Y! data files somehow got corrupted, that's why physically removing the data storage folder worked.

Eugene - there is now another problem only with Yahoo data. Fidelity data is fine.

The problem is that when the Yahoo data is downloaded, four hours after market close (today) and several days after market close (yesterday), the downloaded data is one trading day old. For example, today, 10/18 it would only download 10/17 data. Yesterday, it would only download 10/14 data. It was always up to date previously.

I also deleted data files and it reloaded them fine, but a day's data missing. Also true for data on demand.

Again, your expertise is needed.

The Y! EOD data is usually not available on the same day unless you enable "Partial bar" in Y! provider's settings (Data Manager > Yahoo).

Incidentally, the response time from Y! for the partial day quote is very slow - several seconds. Forget about use this feature for an scan on multiple symbols unless you have time to take a nap while waiting.

I did nothing and seems to be working now. Not a problem with WL, but probably a Yahoo problem. Thanks again for all your help.

And Y! problem is a possible cause too.
