My 32bit (Windows XP) WLP 6.0 currently has MetaStock Format Data currently showing as a legimate data source in Data Mgr when I try to Create New Data Set. Yet it does not show up in my current Extensions List. Nor does it appear on the Wealth-Lab.com site as even being available as a provider. My 64bit Laptop (Windows 7) & 64bit WLP 6.0 has no such option to choose MetaStock Format Data to create a data source.

I searched Wiki & threads, but found no answer yet.

Has MetaStock Format Data feature been cancelled(yet still resides in my 32bit/WindowsXP from a prior download)?

I just purchased some "delisted stock" history from www.premiumdata.net which comes in MetaStock format. Along with an ASCII converter, so now have data in ASCII format.

Still curious though about MetaStock format availability in Data Manager?

Metastock provider isn't compatible with 64-bit WL6 and therefore exists only in 32-bit installations.

Is there a plan to have a 64-bit installation in the next release of WLD ?

No. A component of the Metastock provider is incompatible with x64.

P.S. But you can always install WL6 32-bit alongside WL6 64-bit and therefore read Metastock datasources on a 64-bit OS.

I'm running into this issue as well no I've moved to windows 7.

What do you mean alongside? Do you mean just installing 32-bit and using that, or somehow combine the two?

Yes, simply install WLD6 32-bit and use it for Metastock data as suggested:

1. in the Wealth-Lab Wiki FAQ: FAQ | General
2. and on the Download Wealth-Lab page as well.
