I always use position sizing for my trades, but I am new to Wealth Builder and know nothing about programing with C#. I have found script code in these forums for implementing RiskStopLevel, but I haven't found any tutorials as to how to use this script. Can someone point me in the right direction to find tutorials, explain to me how to drop the right script into my strategy, or inform me of a more simple way to accomplish my position strategies? My trades currently run at or below .5% of equity. I appreciate your indulgence of my programing ignorance.

What's that?

See the QuickRef (F11) for a description and example of how to use RiskStopLevel.

See User Guide: Reference > Data Panel > Position Size Control > Portfolio Simulation Mode > Max Percent Risk for more explanation about RiskStopLevel and another example.

See the User Guide (F1): Introduction > How to Run Example Code for instructions on how to run code that you see posted or in the Guides.

Also check out the WL5 Wiki. A good place to start for you would be the Knowledge Base, specifically Strategies and WealthScript. Scroll down about 2/3 and check out WealthScrript > How do I start with C#?

If you still have a specific question after that, let us know.

It just occurred to me that you were asking about the Strategy Builder. If you're interested in using Max Percent Risk sizing with a Rules-based strategy, then you must insert the RiskStopLevel statement manually after you've finished doing as much as you can with the drag and drop programming.

Bionian,

When in a support ticket I was suggesting to create a post re: Community.Indicators in the Extensions section of the forum, I didn't mean all posts should go here. ;) Please target them appropriately: this question has nothing to do with Wealth-Lab Extensions. Thank you.

Eugene- Sorry again. I thought that since Extensions included drag and drop indicators, there maybe some indicator to use to establish Risk Stop Levels, hence my post here. I'll figure out the correct forums soon. I've been using Wealth-lab for less than a week. If you want me to move my post I will.

Cone- since my thread is here, may I ask where in the script the RiskStopLevel statement goes? Is there a tutorial on adding such statements? Thanks for the other useful information. I'm on my way there now.

Thanks.
