Yes, I'll call and ask Fidelity as well

I'm pretty sure Fidelity is [always] a platinum sponsor at the Traders' Expos. Here's the link to the Expo, and another one for the Fidelity speakers.

Yes, I asked the question as I looked through both the Expo agenda and the Fidelity speaker list and couldn't find any name that I recognized as being affiliated at all with Wealth-Lab.

There might not be any Wealth-Lab speakers, but the program manager, his boss, and several programmers are always there. Just ask at the Fidelity exhibit.

Excellent! I'll be able to ask them why WLP streaming data disconnects twice a day, everyday, for the last 6 months. I'm very curious to know how they can tolerate a known bug that makes the product useless as a tool for active traders who require intraday signals.

cfurer: If you find anything out would you please post it?

We had an interchange a couple weeks ago regarding the same topic. Since then, I've explored using Yahoo's real time feed. Though it is better, it still stops mid-day occasionally. I've seen some weird things, such as up to a 15 minute difference in time between when an alert is triggered and when the alert is issued. In fact I've received alerts that are time-stamped after the market close, even though the time-stamp on the quote window is correct. I initially thought that I may have connected to the delayed quotes, rather than real time, but I'm now convinced that the issue is within WLP.

I was able to finally get to the program manager of WLP and I've talked with him a few times, but I don't yet have resolution to this issue. The best he can offer is the mid-year fix, though I'm still trying to get log files collected to ensure that they have actually resolved the issue.

Frustrating...

Unfortunately I haven't found out anything. I think the best we can do is ensure that other people know that WLP is an inferior product due to this streaming data issue, and that the Fidelity team responsible for fixing this issue is incompetent.

I plan to move my active trading account to another brokerage as Fidelity obviously doesn't care about how this issue affects us. For the program manager to suggest a mid-year fix for an issue that completely negates the value of WLP as a real-time product is laughable and reflects a complete lack of customer concern on either his part or that of his superiors.

There are several other companies with better products that would love our business.

Good luck
