I am able to call these functions and actually get numbers back but which dataset am I suppose to update so I get good numbers out of these calls ? I have so many of these dataset I don't know which one is giving me the numbers. I think I even update my fidelity fundamental data but it seems to be giving the right numbers

Hi Kelvin,

I think there's some confusion here. "earnings per share" belongs to the Fidelity fundamental data so your scripts get the right numbers when the Fidelity fundamental data provider is checked and gets updated with "Update All Data:. EPS isn't part of a (static) DataSet.

hmm, that exactly my question. I have not updated Fidelity fundamental dataSet (except the prices) for at least one yr. Somehow the latest earnings date shows up. Where/which dataSet included EPS numbers ? (so I can be sure I actually update it)

I was wrong.. I need to update fundamental data or I see the last earnings. That's it.
