Eugene, trying to confirm if SI has the adjusted EPS value in its feed and I am consistently getting "0 fundamental items updated". I've tried deleting the folder and downloading again as well.

Please advise.

I'm trying it and the data for a supported symbol is downloaded without an issue. Please switch the Extension Manager to "Other" and update your outdated MS123 Fundamental/News extension to v2018.04, then restart WLP to apply and okay the dialog box.

Extension is upto date - I just installed it 2 days ago, and rechecked again now.

Logged out and back in, then tried downloading again... this time a few symbols downloaded, but most still didn't -

Ditto: 2-4 requests and then 0 symbols. If I recycle my IP address I get another batch. Having looked at it under a packet sniffer tool I'm sure what's going on. It's server-based protection against web scraping bots which they seem to have introduced lately (it wasn't the case before). First there's captcha page and later it displays a bot detection page which welcomes one to purchase a subscription to their API.

Well, it's their right to protect their product. You might want to consider a paid alternative if it exists.

P.S. Updated the Wiki at http://www2.wealth-lab.com/WL5WIKI/StreetInsiderProvider.ashx.

OK, thanks for confirming the issue isn't in my setup at least. A paid alternative (even if available) might be worthwhile, but can only be considered if I can first see positive screen results through a backtest! :)

I've looked into it some more under debugger and must say that StreetInsider's got serious protection against bots. Stronger than one would expect (and I've seen quite some webmasters' tricks). Overcoming it would take an effort which I'm not prepared to invest in this project at this time. Sorry.

Understood.

@WLP123: Their protection against web scrapers is robust. Eventually we'll decommission the StreetInsider and 99WallStreet providers as they got nearly useless now.

To anyone interested:

99WallStreet and StreetInsider providers are superseded by the Zacks Adjusted Earnings provider.
