StreetInsider earnings data provider error: reverse date and month order

I have an issue with the StreetInsider earnings release data where it displays the month and day in reverse on my charts. For example if the correct earnings date is 10 January 2015 it will incorrectly show up as 1 October 2015. Essentially it's getting confused with DD-MM-YYYY and MM-DD-YYYY date formats. It may have something to do with the fact I'm in Australia where default date format is DD-MM-YYYY.

That's pretty strange. The default date format on my end is similar to Australia but despite that and the presense/absense of mother language in browser's settings, SI always returns dates in the fixed M/d/yyyy format:

Are you saying that when you open AAPL's earnings in Internet Explorer (this matters for the provider) the day precedes the month?

Well, I just changed the regional settings to English (Australia) myself and can NOT reproduce this. Wealth-Lab has adjusted to show d/M/yyyy and the earnings dates for AAPL fall on the right dates:

IE (the engine behind .NET's web page processing) also shows the page in the fixed format.

AAPL was easy so let's take the opposite example where almost all dates can be treated as d-M and M-d: NVDA. The Nov 5 earnings is correctly shown as 5/11/15 and not in May.

Are you sure you're not confusing something? The issue positively can not be reproduced with Australian regional settings.

So interestingly I have no earnings data at all for AAPL and initially couldn't figure out why, then realised all the DD range from 20-27 and when incorrectly used as MM obviously there is no such month and the data doesn't appear.

Attached is what I see for NVDA. The month and day are in reverse.

I'm going to commit a change to a future release of the library that is supposed to fix this issue. Note that Wealth-Lab 6.8+ will be required to install/update (it's time to drop 6.6 support as 6.9 is at the door). Once it's released, please let me know if it helps or not.

Ok thanks any idea when the new release will be available? Also is there a workaround that can be used in the mean time?

1 - Possibly next month.

2 - Although I was unable to reproduce this with Australian settings applied, from a logical standpoint a workaround could be to temporarily switch to U.S. regional settings.

NOTE: what to do if Wealth-Lab crashes on start after changing regional settings.
