Looking at 18.2 Quick Start in W-L 6.7 Guide I do not have a Define Network but using Optional, how do I get the Strategies Input and Output Scripts into the Define Network? I am starting with the example RSI Scripts.

"RSI Periods" is trained and locked. Click on "Unlock" for editing.

Thanks Eugene. Got started with Select Training Data/Apply Training Set which proceeds to 100% then an error 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object', therefore can not proceed to Train Network. The Guide does not seem to help much with these simple queries.

What happens if you have 2 or more Input/Output scripts in your Strategies? How does it know which ones to use?

...suggesting that your script may have an error. Otherwise please include as much details as possible w.r.t. your input/output script and settings (data provider, bar scale, symbols...), use of Benhcmark B&H symbol in Preferences.

Strange question. "There can be only one".

Strange question - not really, I now see that you have to copy and paste the Input and Output scripts each time? Having done this ie copied the Inputs and Output RSI direct from the Guide it comes up with an error for both 'Input string was not in correct format'.

Data provider is Norgate Premium.

Have you seen the Save button? Input/Ouput scripts are developed only once and then get saved with the network. Please carefully re-read the documentation as what you say just doesn't make sense.

Data provider must be ASCII then. What is your script(s)? What is the exact action sequence?

This is what I did step by step. Tools / Neuro-lab / Define Network / Input Script / 'copy & paste RSI example from the Guide' / Unlock / Check Input and output Script for Errors.

The Error message comes up re incorrect format (see attached *.png screenshot).

Thus the Save As does not work. My data provider is Norgate Premium Data. It is in MetaStock but can be converted to ASCII. Does Neuro-Lab only run in ASCII?

A picture is really worth a thousand words.

There are no prebuilt networks and you can't save new ones because your NN config files have become corrupt. Please follow this procedure to reset them:

Errors | Extensions > Missing networks in Neuro-Lab

Absolutely no, I just forgot that PremiumData is Metastock.

Thanks very much Eugene - no wonder it did not work. Windows 8 users a slightly different string eg C / Owners / AppData / Roaming / Fidelity Investments / WealthLabDev / 1.0.0.0 / Data / NeuroLab
