Is there a way to scan the universe of stocks in the NASDAQ and NYSE, using WL.net ? thx

I saw that but, unless I'm missing something, it looks like a pre-defined dataset needs to be created for it to scan on. This is why I posed my original question on how do I scan the "entire universe" of stocks in the NASDAQ or NYSE ? Is there a way to do that or, does one need to create a dataset of 5000+ stocks ? thx

It looks like I do need to create a dataset..
I was concerned on how to get 5000 stocks in one dataset, but I found the tutorial in wiki on how to create a dataset from pre-defined indexes, which makes it much easier. I'm assuming this is the correct way.

That's right, you need to create a DataSet first and update it. Obtaining the component list from Yahoo Classification should make it easy.
