I am looking to learn the basics of developing an automated trading system, so I can eliminate all discretionary trading.

I have been trading for years using basic MA crosses, MACD crosses and channel breakouts...

Can anyone suggest books where I can learn basic programming codes, etc. or other resources or websites that would be advisable?

Thanks very much.

e.g. Mechanical Trading Systems by Richard Weissman available on Amazon. I'm sure there other books as well.
