I have Top Stop set to Auto Stage in Strategy Monitor(Red arrow) and set to run at 430 pm
each day. Auto Place is not enabled. I get repeated alerts each day at 430p after the first sell
signal is given. This seems to occur until the next buy signal is generated. Also, on the next day
after the first sell signal when the strategy runs again I noticed in the Trades window like at 435p
that the sell trade is never populated, again, until the next buy. Hopefully I explained myself as I
am relatively new at this

What are "repeated alerts"?
What are position sizing and data loading settings?
Is the strategy set to execute on single symbol or multi-symbol mode?

Thanks for answering and asking additional questions.
Run this according to the following parameters and you will get an alert dated 10-22-13.In the alert window you will see a price
of 86.25. Cannot figure where this came from as the QQQ`s traded today, the 22nd , between 81.93 and 82.90. Run this over the next
2 or 3 days and you will get multiple sell alerts on the same buy signal generated on 10-10-13.

SCALE= DAILY
RANGE=ALL DATA
POSITION SIZE=95% EQTY
SYMBOL=QQQ
STARTING CAP=100,000
PERCENT EQTY=95
TIME OF RUN=430P

PARAMETERS:

DISTANCE
N-PERIOD
ATR LOOKBACK
TREND CORRECTION

Before putting a strategy to work, it really pays off to have a closer look at the Strategy chart and study its code and rules.

The Strategy places Limit orders usually well above the current price. And the stronger the trend, the greater is the distance. Considering this, the placement perfectly aligns with the logic.

Like I said, it's a Limit order system. The signal is repeated every day until the price eventually breaks through the (usually) decreasing limit threshold. So what you're observing - a single new Limit alert every day - is correct.

Or what is your definition of "multiple sell alerts" - as the strategy can NOT produce multiple orders for same stock on the same bar.

Thanks for explanation. Did not realize it was a Limit order system. My "multiple sell alert" question was meant to indicate that I was
getting another sell alert after the 1st one on successive bars. I have initiated a manual sell order on the next bar around the open after the
first sell signal. When the trade screen finally does post the sell signal note that it will post on the first sell and not the last one. I have been
selling on the first sell signal and disregarding successive ones.So in summary...looks like Top Stop is working as it should. Thanks
