I have been told that WLP 4.5 will be disabled about the first of the year and will no longer be usable. Can anyone here confirm that?

If I'm going to have to change to V5.1 by Jan 1, I'm gonna be a busy beaver. I really doubt that I can get up to speed by then. Gotta learn a ton of new nomenclature, get somewhat conversant with C, etc. But the real problem is going to be getting my scripts converted. I know a "converter" is due sometime down the line. I seem to recall it was due several months ago.

In any case, V4.5 does what I need quite well and I sure hope to continue with it.

Cheers,
Frank

It's fine to discuss this here, but this isn't the place to get Fidelity's attention (call them instead).

What is it that Version 4 does quite well for you? Maybe Version 5 can do it even better (or will eventually).

Ah! What a wonderful world. They told me to post my questions here.

As for the change, I have no doubt that V5 will be much better but it will take much effort to learn the new stuff. I've been 3 + years just gettin' kinda decent with V4.

Thank you very much for the reply. Also for all the fine contributions you have made over the years.

Cheers,

Thanks Frank. :)

I have been told...

Just curious, who told you? We (MS123 / Wealth-Lab Systems) don't determine the software that Fidelity provides or when it will be phased out - it's quite the opposite! Only Fidelity brokerage management can confirm or deny what you're hearing.
