I tried creating a dataset of all Nasdaq stocks, but WL doesn't seem to like this new list for some reason. When I run a backtest I get a long "Debug and Error Message" that says there was an "Error processing symbol abcd DataSeries do not have equal number of values for mathematical operation." There are hundreds or maybe thousands of these notes since there are a lot of Nasdaq stocks that don't seem to be working for me. The results that I get just ignore these stocks and there are 0's across the board for them no matter what strategy parameters I choose.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I found the list of stocks on Nasdaq's website and converted them from excel to text, then simply pasted them into the WL data manager tool when creating a new dataset.

Thanks!

Not having searched the forum and not having visited the Knowledge Base prior to posting. Most frequently asked questions and errors are documented there with solutions or workarounds. In particular, please review for what does this KB article has to say about this error:

Errors > Strategy > "DataSeries do not have equal number of values for mathematical operation"

In addition, to search the forum you just have to start typing the first symbols for the website to start returning hits. Since "error" is too common, I would have began with the word "equal". Here's what I got:

Error Message: Data Series do not have equal number of values for mathematical operation
DataSeries do not have equal number of values for mathematical operation
ASCII DataSet error: DataSeries do not have equal number of values for mathematical operation
