Hi,

I'm new to Wealth Lab and was wondering if people are making money using Wealth Lab with the automated trading feature? Before I spend a lot of time learning C# and creating & backtesting systems, I just thought I'd ask if people liked the software and does it make money for them? Thanks.

Hi Torpedo,

Right now I am not using Wealth Lab Pro to do automated trading.
I am studying it to see how I can custom test my own back testing methodologies.

To answer your question as to if people ar making money using this system. I would say that because of the ability to create these stratigies to automate your entries and exits you can take the "emotional" part of trading out of the equasion.

I would think that you can make money with this tool. The biggest factor is the strategy you are using for your entries and exits.

I looked at version 5.1 about a year ago and then abandoned those efforts. I am interested to see if the new version 6.0 can do the things I want.

Yes I like the software for the other things I can do with it.

Torpedo, in my opinion you're looking at it the wrong way. Wealth-Lab is a strategy development platform that you can use for backtesting and implementing those Strategies in live (and paper) trading. It doesn't "make money for you" as if it were something you just turn on and starts spitting out cash.

If your strategies are designed to manage risk appropriately for your trading style and profile, then Wealth-Lab for sure can help you implement those strategies by Alerting you to trade opportunities reducing your workload for order entry.

Hi disc999golfer999,

Why did you abandon your efforts with the prior version of WL? What did WL not do that you needed?

Thanks.
