Hi,
I am going to make myself a xmas present und upgrade some components of my desktop PC.
After doing some reserach in this area, I know now that there 2011-v3 socket mainboards which are able to host hexa- and octa-core CPUs.
In this context, I am wondering if WealthLab uses hyperthreading for calculations (like optimization or just opening a symbol with really many bars) and if by choosing one of the mentioned CPU, I would get a signifivant performance boost in WL ?

Thank you & Merry Christmas

Hi,

No, and it's not planned. Strategies are already executed fast (if coded efficiently), optimizations have never been faster with Particle Swarm Optimizer, and it's been determined internally that parallelizing DataSeries would not offer a speed boost. Some indicators in latest C.Indicators and TASCIndicators which rely on SMA already run faster by dozens of %% due to algorithm improvement.

Actually, this question rises from time to time:

Any plans for multicore support?
Indicator speed improvement through parallelizing

Thanks and Merry Xmas to you too, Patrick.
