I searched the user's guide and these forums, and found information on how to backup Wealthlab data files, but didn't find the answer to this question for Wealthlab 5.

I use two computers- one stays at home and the other is a laptop I carry with me for intraday trading activities. I generally apply trendlines and other annotations using the home computer. I have price data on and indicators on both computers. All I want to do is to be able to transfer these annotations from the home computer to my laptop. Which specific files would I want to copy, and would I just do this by copying and transfering files using Windows Explorer?

Thanks.

1. Turn on hidden file visibility: How to see hidden files in Windows
2. Open the User Guide > Data > Where data are stored.
3. Find your Data directory.
4. A folder called DrawingObjects.Standard should be copied and transfered to the right Data directory on your laptop (considering the difference in its placement under XP and Vista/7, as indicated in the User Guide > Data.)

Voilà.

Is it also possible to update my laptop's data sets after editing them on my home computer by copying and transfering them?

Yes, it's possible. DataSets, the data files (historical and fundamental items) themselves, Strategies... - all of that can be transfered.
