When viewing the bars on my chart, the times appear to be Exchange time and not local time. Is there any way to change it to display the bars in local time?

Also, the first bar of the day on any of my intraday charts seem to be delayed by whatever the interval setting is selected. e.g., the first bar on a 15-min chart is 0945; the first bar on a 30-min chart is 1000; and, the first bar on a 60-min chart is 1030. So, the first bar of the day is actually missing. Is there a way to change that behavior?

1 - No.

2 - Nothing is missing, it's correct. For reason, please refer to this FAQ (scroll to the very bottom): Fidelity data does not match the same symbol in Active Trader Pro. In short, Wealth-Lab marks the bar with the time at the end of bar i.e. 09:45 for the bar that includes the data from 09:30 to 09:45.

Thanks for your reply.

Really, there should be an option to display the data in local time. Maybe it can be added in a future version of WLP?

Differences in the way bar data is posted to the chart is confusing. I read your reference, thank you for providing a link, which stated:
QUOTE:
The bar is timestamped at the start of it in ATP and WLP marks the same bar with the time at the end of bar.

This should really be standardized. Maybe adding a feature to select which method to use when updating the chart (ATP vs WLP)?

Having been a long time ATP user, I guess that I'm biased. I've also tried other trading platforms, but I've never run across these particular restrictions.

Once again, thanks for taking the time to help me get started with WLP.

There is no such plan that I'm aware of. Local times can already be shown in the Strategy Monitor, though.

We do not support ATP so I'm not aware of plans regarding this platform. As for Wealth-Lab, this is a design decision that is likely to stay as is. However, you could communicate your suggestion to Fideity if you'd like.

Glad to help.

I use ATP (version 10.6.766) and WLP. The bar times are done the same way in both products. First bar of the day on a 15 min chart is 9:45 am for both and with matching OHLC prices.

Older versions of ATP labeled bars by the open time and in fact the Fidelity website still does it that way. But ATP changed to bar close time like WLP some time ago. Check your ATP version.

Kevin, thanks for the heads-up. That's good news. Updating the Wiki FAQ.
