I have created an .csv file with 31 fields per row. I created the format, and the data appeared correctly. The dataset shows the 4 files-of-data. When I click on a file/symbol, I get an error message "Runtime error: Mutating a value collection derived from a dictionary is not allowed." I cannot guess how to proceed from here. What would you recommend?

Unfortunately, this is a known deficiency in 5.4 that affects the ASCII provider. You'll get the error message especially if you try to change the scale of a symbol that has custom data series defined. The error will come away if you re-create the dataset without the custom fields. Please create a support ticket for this one, tia.

I will create the support ticket, but is there any way to get access to the customer fields now? For instance could I create a unique symbol that was opened as a second symbol in a script and then access the fields that way?

The error should not appear if you:

1. Use All data in the Data Range selection box.
2. If limiting the Data Range (i.e. not using All data), do not select a higher bar scale than native (i.e. if the underlying time frame is Daily, leave it as is).

Optionally, call Fidelity support to downgrade to 5.3.
