Yahoo started returning wrong data in "export historical quotes" for October for many symbols. This affects Wealth-Lab. Do NOT update or this will overwrite last 10 bars with garbage data. If you did, use the Data Tool to truncate bad bars (install extension).

While outage lasts, consider using backup data providers (Google, MSN, BBFree etc.):

Extensions > Data Providers

For many stocks I had completely wrong Yahoo charts.... even after
restoring the daily Yahoo data from a backup.

Then I noticed, that only the data in the directory YahooFundamentalProvider (splits etc)
was wrong.... only after restoring this as well, working with Yahoo data (20.10.2014)
was possible....
I am avoiding another Yahoo for today....

It seems that the condition has been corrected. Still, check your data, truncate using the Data Tool if required, and update.

Like ReneW pointed, the YahooFundamentalProvider folder has to be restored / deleted too.

Even so, it seems that some symbols are still vulnerable, like ADP - at least for me.

Yes, not fixed yet. Too much errors even for Dow 30, I had to restore from backup.

Outages can last for many days. Users are advised to check periodically, contact Yahoo Finance tech support (don't ask us how), or use other data providers (see above).

This is the only way I've found to feed Yahoo! a problem with data... it seemed to work last time.

Today (23 Oct) I haven't detected any problems with the update for yesterday's session.

Hi guys,

since those Data Problems with Yahoo keep going on and I'm using WL+Yahoo not only for Backtesting but also as signal generation, I have a rather practical question:

Who of all those alternative Data Providers (also payed ones are ok for me) doe support all the features of Yahoo? I would especially need the "revers split adjust" Data, without them my Strategies don't work.

For Realtime data I already use iQfeed, which has really good and reliable Data, but since my EOD strategies use this Split adjust of Yahoo, I cannot use iqFeed, since they do not provide this data.

Any recommendations?

thx

I don't think there is. However, something is in the making. The wait is not too long. Please stay tuned.

We waiting integrate ESignal in WLD. New Ninja 8 x64 support ESignal !

ESignal on Deman ( all world intraday data stock + futures ) cost 55$ in month.

FYI, it seems that eSignal was not interested in us as customers:

eSignal (or other data provider for US + EUROPEAN data), see replies 23 and 27

P.S. Now that Yahoo! has corrected the error, this topic may be closed. I've renamed it accordingly.

Can you pls. share a bit more about this?

I'm currently checking to improve my trading quality so I would be interested in checking out alternatives.

ATTENTION

It is happening again. Although the website shows correct historical OHLC for e.g. ^GSPC, the exported data is all messed up (O=H=L=C all the way until September 2014).
