A warm welcome to our new 5.5!

Have you guys put together a page yet explaining what is new in 5.5?

Thanks. Please see New and Noteworthy > What's New and What's Changed in the Wealth-Lab User Guide.

P.S. Wealth-Lab Developer 5.5 isn't out yet, so these changes aren't reflected on its Change Log page.

Eugene,

I'm LOVING the new addition of the email alerts -- this is a HUGE help!!! BRAVO!!!!

We had discussed the addition of a Displaced Moving Average (adjustable advanced).
Did it make the cut for 5.5? I can't find it.

Eugene,

I'm suffering an acute flare-up of Stupid this morning. (perhaps associated to a lunar cycle or barometric pressure rendering my frontal lobe malfunctional). I'm unable to find it in this severly compromised condition. Would you mind providing a direct link for the download?
This will aid me greatly in the Traders Special Olympics. :)

Thank you!

Any idea when simuscripts will be available? I see setsharesize is there now so you can pretty much do what you want, but you still need to embed it in your code.

Anyone else having 5.5 problems with intellisense? Seems to lag badly and sometimes won't come up at all. I noticed it when working with a TimeSpan object as in "TimeSpan ts = new" and the intellisense doesn't show me a TimeSpan.

Dave, I checked that in Dev 5.4 and it's the same as in 5.5. It doesn't seem that fixing IntelliSense has that great priority for Fidelity, so it would make sense to call and complain about that.

It may have changed a little in 5.4 when the QWhale Editor was upgraded, but I really haven't noticed a difference. You generally have to be very patient for the first use.

hi,
i am trying to upgrade wealth-lab legacy(pascal) running on an xp to wealth lab 5.5 on the new laptop i bought.
1. the laptop is 64bit vista home premier with 8gb dd3 mem, quad core processor, SSD+7200 rpm dual drive.
2. I have tons of custom created chart scripts(pascal) in xp.
Question:
Can somebody explain to me how i can accomplish this, step by step with minimum headache?
Has anybody tried LAPLINK for moving to a NEW vista 64 bit from an old xp platform (different computer, not an upgrade)?
I am sure this situation must have faced many member of the WL community, so if there is a link to the forum describing my need I will appreciate it.
Thank u in advance

You need to download WealthScript Translator. Click on the banner on top of the page to get to Fidelity's download page.

Hope this also helps:
I'm a Wealth-Lab 3/4 user, how to learn C# ?

bd123,

I recently bought a new Vista 64-bit PC. While I haven't upgraded to WL 5.x as yet, I did face some issues migrating WL 4.5 from XP Pro to Vista 64-bit. Hopefully, the following thread may be of some use to you: /Forum/Posts/WL-Pro-45-and-Vista-64-bit-29562

Eugene,Wall,
Thanks for the info. Does any one know if laplink software that "claims" to be able to transfer all application and data to a vista computer from an xp computer? Has any one tried this software? Does it do what it claims?

Maybe, maybe not. Your best bet is to use either VMWare converter and make a virtual machine image of your current PC, then run it from your new PC. You can then try to move your apps but if you miss something or forget it you can still get access to it. You may be able to do the same with Microsoft's virtual PC (which may be free??) but I'm not sure.
