1) What is the time frame for WL Pro 5.2 (Fidelity)?

2) In past discussions with Cone on the old forum, it was noted that 5.1 (and 4.x) are limited in the number of real-time symbols they can handle concurrently for short-term trading, such as 1 minute bars. Cone suggested that 5.2 would overcome this limit. Is this still the plan?

3) What is the time frame for a facility similar to Reports-Lab in V5?

Thanks.

1) FYI, the next Fidelity-customer upgrade will be Version 5.3 (5.2 was destined for "educational purposes"). Check with your Fidelity Reps for release plans - these are usually not made public until after the fact.

That's the problem with giving out information too early. There are data upgrades in the works, but this change (if it's going to happen at all for Fidelity) will be after 5.3.

Note -
The symbol "limit" is practical in nature (there really is no limit). In Version 4, RT Scans needs to opens a streaming chart for every symbol in the scan - that's inefficient and requires lots of bandwidth. Version 5's Strategy Monitor design is more efficient and reduces the bandwidth requirements to almost nil, but the current data design doesn't allow clients to requests updates for more than 10 symbols at a time.

Those requests, however, are working quite well since several months ago, but even so, updating 100 symbols requires 10 "round trips", which takes about 40 seconds for me - but my hops are probably a lot longer than yours :) So you have to decide if you can trade a 1- or 2-minute Strategy if you have to wait 40 seconds for the last set of updates.

Sorry, currently no ETA can be published for Reports-Lab 3.

In WL Pro 5.1 and/or 5.3, can this bottleneck with respect to Fidelity data update times on 1 minute charts be worked around by using streaming data from another provider such as IQFeed, either through Multi Quote Server or through an upcoming native interface?

The Strategy Monitor works with static data, not streaming. But yes, at the moment other providers have much better facilities to return hundreds or even thousands of static requests rather quickly.

Multi Quote Server, when installed, causes Wealth-Lab Pro 5.1 to crash; I had to remove the DLLs.

What real-time data providers in addition to Fidelity will be added to WL Pro, and in what time frame?

Please contact the developers so they can be aware of the issue and fix it.

I speak English, but not German. I cannot find any e-mail addresses for MQS staff on their web site or in the software. I cannot figure out how to register for the website discussion forum because the instructions are in German.

I'm afraid that the language issue combined with glaring bugs make MQS unusable, and make it impossible to contact the developers.

No one here answered the following question I asked: "What real-time data providers in addition to Fidelity will be added to WL Pro, and in what time frame?" I am asking about native interfaces, provided by Wealth-Lab.

It's all English if you click the Union flag, but here's the direct link anyway:

This question was answered so frequently that it even made its way to the WL5Wiki FAQ:

How do I use eSignal (IQFeed etc.) with Wealth-Lab Developer 5.1?

I was already aware of the English version of the web site. There is no separate English version of the discussion forum; both the English and German versions of the web site link to http://www.mtiqs.com/xmb/

It is difficult for a non-German speaker to use that forum because the menus, instructions, registration, etc. are all in German.

Thank you for the link to the WL Developer 5.1 FAQ. Is the information applicable to WL Pro also? It says that there will be interfaces, but doesn't give a time frame. Is there a time frame known?

No problem, as you can use Google Translate to turn those German resources into English on-the-fly:

Sorry, no time frame but this is on top of the list. Developer and Pro share the interfaces, so at the moment I couldn't think of a reason why would they not work in Pro.

Yes but note that Yahoo provides daily data only (except for the Quotes tool that is able to utilize streaming RT data without backfill). Other RT providers are currently being developed.
