Every time WL7 starts it checks for license, etc. If this check fails (e.g. if the website goes down due to a cyberattack or is unreachable for any reason):
1) Will it still work?
2) If so, how many times before it locks up permanently?

WL7 will still work for a brief period of time enough for the team to react. Appreciate your understanding that the exact criteria should not be disclosed as they belong to the protection domain.

That's understandable.

I'm just worried that when the site goes down so also will the Discussion forum & Support, leaving users up the creek without a paddle.

I'd say the Discussions might be up but there are backup channels as email and Discord.

Will WL6.9 work if the website goes down?

WL6.9 hits a different authentication server and the period between mandatory authentications is 30 days (except for activation of certain features like streaming charts, Accounts tool, intraday data in St.Mon. etc)

Perhaps WL can be programmed to display a popup message with contact information (incl Discord, etc.) in case of such an eventuality?? [I'm assuming it just shuts down.]
