I have noticed recently that sometimes the Buy/Sell indicators (the little triangles) are not displayed when they should be. I have a strategy that a Buy is generated when the "Buy Sell Ind" chart (just below the price chart) hits a 1 and a Sell when it hits -1. My code works as it should in that the gain is recorded and displayed, but also there is no recording of the position taken. See chart.
Notice that there are no triangles between 3/29/2021 and 4/19/2021 where they should be. What could be wrong.

There obviously was no trade generated with that entry and exit date. You’ve provided incomplete information. We have no strategy code to verify what you’re saying.

We can still speculate. My guess is that it’s a portfolio backtest and there was insufficient simulated equity to take the other positions.

I never thought of that, is there a way that I can show that is the case. I did have NSFs.

Increase in the starting capital and decrease the position size until you get all the positions. Or run it on a single symbol instead of a portfolio and see if you get all the arrows.

I did some experiments on the maximum number of stocks in a DataSet and I think it is about 10 stocks. I use Percent Equity for running a back-test and then set Percent to 9.
