I downloaded WL7 for the trial version just before I got on a plane. I set it to offline mode. After I left the WL7 window to get some code and went back to it, it froze, then after closing it and trying to re-open it is says the build isn't recent even though I just downloaded it.

Once I had wifi again it loaded fine. I understand the need for licensing checks but can you make it so that the licensing saves on the computer somewhere and you can run it offline without having to be online to check it?

The trial version does require a license check each startup. Once registered, it does save locally like you describe.

Ok. That gives me hope that WL7 may work for me.

But does it really have to check the license every time you switch windows? Can't it be left without a recheck except for on loading?

I have a lot of plane time coming up so was planning on trying to translate an old strategy or 2 while the rest of life isn't getting in the way.

Oh well.

Thanks

I hear you. I always lean toward a better user experience at the expense of friction from securing the app, but I'm not the only one developing it :)

We will see what we can do to make this easier while in demo mode.

Thank you,

I'm not having any chance to test it completely yet due to connectivity issues but am looking forward to it.

We should release Build 3 Tuesday with that change in place!
