I know it's too much to have an automatic translation, but being able to at least load the file is way easier than copy/pasting the code and then editing can take place in WL7.

Is it really so much easier? Click a load button, navigate to a file, click open. Or do a control C to copy, than a control A in WL 7 to select all and a Control V to parse. In my mind it’s six of one and half dozen of another 🤷🏼‍♂️

It's way easier :)!!

The old strategies are in WL6 format (which I don't have anymore) and so when I saved them to text the code loses all of it's programming format and is pretty much one huge text string. So it's not just copy paste but it's also tab and return every line.

You also need to have 2 programs open to see the old strategy.

You also need to do the opening process in the other program so anything other than that is extra.

Thanks

True, at this stage though we have so many other things we want to do, I don't think we want to invest the limited time into something that has only a benefit for a shorter term (migration). But I'll talk with the team about it and see what they think.

Maybe I misunderstood your problem but WL6 strategies open just fine in an XML reader (like Notepad++) -- and I mean multi-line. The only trouble is the encoding of characters like > < & etc. in the source file which makes them a bit less human readable but you can get accustomed to it. Even this gets solved by XML Tools in Notepad++ in a New York minute.
