Is there a way to turn off the background annotation on the chart?
Is there an option to change the location, font size and color of the background annotation on the chart?
I'm talking about the symbol and the description in the middle of the chart in gray color.
I have 30~50 streaming charts when trading and this background annotation is quite annoying.
In WL6.9, I draw my own the background annotation but upper left coner with much smaller font size and faded blue color.

Rename
You could go to Chart Preferences and change the watermark color to the same as the background color. Or set it to completely transparent.

I set alpha to 0 for Watermark in Chart Preferences but it doesn't seem working.
I do see color changes as I move the RGB slider but A slider doesn't work at all.
My mistake, setting A on the watermark doesn't apply - but you can set it to the same color as the background to effectively remove it, like in this example:
